She used to be Rockin but now she's Rollin! Introducing Rolla Robin! She has been spinning poi for years but has changed gears and is spinning wheels now too. Robin Fiametta's journey with poi began while living on Maui. Seeing the beauty of fire dancers on Little Beach inspired her to learn the art of poi whilst there. Poi turned out to be her gateway prop and she quickly added double staff, double nunchucks, and fire fans to her repertoire. You never know what she's going to spin or light on fire next! Fiametta enjoys spreading the joy of poi and has taught classes regularly in Calgary and events such as Astral Harvest, HoopWest, Calgary Tam Tam's and Freezer Burn, and she furthers the flow arts for all of us as the president of the Western Canadian Circus Arts Society and Camp Carnival: Circus and Flow Arts Festival. You can catch Fiametta performing regularly with At The Hip and aGoGo. ~ Jeff Cruz
Katie Baby found her love of all things dance on the sweaty dancefloors of the early 2000s rave and club scene. Her love of electronic music and dance brought her on a journey around the world where she was inspired by the performances she experienced in the mega clubs and festivals of the UK, Netherlands, and Ibiza, as well as homegrown favourites like Shambhlala and Motion Notion. In 2011 she attended Burning Man and the creativity she experienced at the event inspired her own journey as a performer. Katie Baby is a performing member of At the Hip and a freestyle gogo, lightwhip, and fire palm flow artist with aGoGo. In addition to dancing, she has a passion for costuming and styling, graphic design and festival culture.

Joëlle has been intrigued by all sorts of performance since she was a child and has naturally gravitated towards the spotlight. She has dabbled in music, dance and flow arts, and has found poi and flags to be her defining props. Having been taught by some of Alberta’s best prop artists, she very early adopted their notion that prop spinning is a type of dance and when done it should always be with dance in mind. This really resonated with her; so she embarked on a journey — or perhaps a hopscotch — towards learning various types of props, dance techniques, and other ‘things’ to enhance her performance. Joëlle truly believes if she isn’t making you feel like YOU want to dance - she isn’t doing her job! So shake that money maker! ~ Dare Photography
